Terms of Service
Last updated August 18, 2026
Agreement
By creating an account, buying credits, or using So So Deep Contractor Search ("the Service"), operated by the operators of ContractorSearch, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
So So Deep Contractor Search helps you find licensed contractors in Arizona and Washington using public licensing data, permit history where available, and optional live Google Places enrichment. Results are informational. They are not a recommendation to hire, not legal advice, and not a guarantee of workmanship, price, or availability.
Always verify a contractor on the official lookup published by the board that issued the license - Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC Contractor Search) or Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I Verify a Contractor) - before hiring, and use your own judgment.
Accounts
You must sign in to run searches. You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in credentials secure. We may suspend access for abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
You may delete your account from Your account. Deletion ends access immediately; unused credits are forfeited and not refunded as cash.
Credits, billing, and expiry
The Service is prepaid. You buy one-time passes or subscribe for monthly credits. Credits are an internal unit used to meter AI and Google Places usage at our published retail rates. They have no cash value and are not transferable.
Pass credits expire at the end of the pass window stated at purchase. Subscription credits are granted each billing period and expire at period end (use them or lose them). Unused credits are not refunded as cash. Canceling a subscription keeps access and remaining period credits until the current period ends.
A search that starts with a sufficient balance may finish even if it uses your remaining credits. The next search is blocked until you purchase more credits. Failed searches that do not complete are not charged.
Prices and credit amounts may change. Changes apply to future purchases; they do not alter credits you already hold except as described for period expiry. Payment disputes and card refunds are handled through Stripe according to Stripe's and your card issuer's rules.
Acceptable use
Use the Service only for lawful purposes related to evaluating licensed contractors. Do not bypass billing or rate limits, reverse engineer the Service, or use it to harass individuals or businesses.
Crawling and automated access. Search engines and AI crawlers are welcome on our public pages, consistent with robots.txt, and we publish /llms.txt and /agents.json to describe how to cite us. Connected agents may use our MCP endpoint under the same account and credit terms as the website. What is not allowed is bulk extraction of the compiled database, or redistributing it as a competing dataset. Quoting or citing a page, with attribution, is fine.
How we make money
You pay us to research contractors. We do not sell leads, and we do not sell, rent, or share what you search or look up with contractors, insurers, brokers, or ad networks.
No contractor can pay to change organic ranking. Ranking follows the published rules on each ranked page and is applied the same way to every firm. If we ever introduce paid placement it will be conspicuously labelled and kept out of the ranked list.
Not a consumer report
The Service is not a consumer report and we are not a consumer reporting agency. Do not use it for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar law, including decisions about credit, employment, insurance underwriting, or tenancy. It publishes business licensing and permit records to help you choose who to hire.
Third-party data and contractors we list
Licensing and permit data come from public sources and may be incomplete or out of date. Google Places content is provided by Google and subject to Google's terms. We do not control third-party data accuracy.
If you are a contractor and something we publish about your business is wrong, our corrections policy sets out what we will change and what we will not. In short: we correct our own errors, including bad name matches and misattributed permits, and we do not remove an accurate public record such as a disciplinary action. We publish what the issuing board publishes and we do not adjudicate disputes about it; that remedy is with the board.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that results are complete, current, or suitable for any hiring decision.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of ContractorSearch and So So Deep Contractor Search are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the three months before the claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that courts in state or federal courts located in Arizona have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes to paid plans will be reflected at purchase time.
