Corrections and removals
So So Deep Contractor Search publishes public records about licensed contractors: license standing, class, disciplinary history where the board publishes it, and how much permitted work a firm has done in a covered city. If we have any of that wrong about your business, tell us and we will fix it.
What we will correct
- A wrong name match. We match permit records to licenses by license number where a city publishes one, and by name where it does not. Name matching can attribute someone else's permits to you. Tell us and we will unpick it.
- A misattributed permit. A permit count that includes work you did not do, or excludes work you did.
- A stale license status. We publish a dated snapshot. If your standing changed after it, we will confirm against the board and reload.
- A duplicated firm. One business appearing as two entries.
- Your street address. We already keep the address on your license file behind sign-in rather than on the public page. Ask and we will suppress it entirely.
- Anything the source record does not support. If we published it and the underlying record does not say it, that is our error and we will remove it.
What we will not do
- Remove an accurate public record. That includes a disciplinary action. We report what the board publishes and we do not adjudicate it. If you believe the board's record is wrong, the remedy is with the board, and we will reflect the change once they publish it.
- Change a ranking for payment or pressure. Nobody can buy position. The ranking rules are published on every ranked page and applied the same way to every firm.
- Remove a firm because it ranks below another. Ranking reflects license standing and permitted work in a city. It is not a judgment of your workmanship, and we say so on every page.
How to reach us
Include your license number and the page you are looking at, so we can find the exact row. A link to the source record helps and speeds things up. We read every message and aim to reply within two business days.
